My Ava

Okay, so let's be honest...the light isn't great a 3pm right behind the house for pictures, BUT I'm spending a lot less time cursing and fiddling and a lot more time taking pictures. I've got the SPOF thing figured out at the ASO. I think I did okay on aperture this time but, honestly, it was still a stab in the dark.

  1. SPOF? ASO? maybe you can enlighten me! What setting are you shooting with? full manual?

  2. I see those backgrounds getting nicely faded, after a while it will all feel natural. With these you could just set the camera onto aperture priority, set that to as wide as you can get and let the camera handle the speed. If it seems too slow then up the ISO.

  3. Whoops and i forgot , telephoto helps get rid of backgrounds , so don't be afraid to step back and use the zoom.

  4. SPOF was on the middle dot only. ASO was 400. Aperture was 6.4. (i know that was a test...sneaky niece) Chris, I should send you a T-Shirt and a key chain that says Photo Mentor. I look forward to the day when it's all natural. I'm going to treat myself to a trip to NZ and we can do a photo weekend of sheds, doors, and churches!!! : )

  5. Deal, if I can add in my wild west coast beaches and a ham and cheese "toasted" from the surf shop at Muriwai.
